Ross the Boss is an asshole. He was on some right wing Facebook page spouting a bunch of infowars bullshit about the Boston bombings and Newtown shootings being staged. Some people there disagreed with him and I have never seen anyone be so disrespectful and rude to other people as he was. I'll never buy another product that will put one dime in this piece of craps pocket.

I can understand your feeling, I have a difficult time with some myself however it is important to keep it separated. I am pretty sure if we knew the views and politics of many of the musicians in bands we listen to then we all would do some clearing out of our collections. The thing is we don't know most of the time and would probably be surprised a lot if we ever found out. And as much as I would disagree with a lot of the musicians who use the platform to voice opinions be them incredibly fucked up or just being ass-tads like Dave Mustaine or whoever, at least they have the balls to do it be it right or wrong, distasteful or not. Also to it does happen to be America so they can say what they like no matter how asinine it is.
This album is not putting money into his pocket. nor was he asked to do it based on his politics or whatever stupid things he may or may not say. I'm sure the band are able to keep their enjoyment and respect for Ross' playing seperate from his politics, one would think the listener could as well.

I probably could and do keep my personal views separate of an artist most of the time. But the stuff he was saying that day went beyond normal debate. It wasn't that he believed what he believed, it was that he began to get very personally demeaning towards the other people that were debating him, myself included. I cannot in good conscious repeat anything he said because I was too stupid to get screenshots and I would not want to misquote anything, but trust me when I say it was beyond good taste and that he lost a fan for life over what he personally said to me. The funny thing was that I never realized who he was until after it was all over and another guy on the page pointed out that he used to be in Manowar. I agree with you on the whole free speech issue, but that doesn't mean that his speech doesn't have any consequences. And part of that is that he lost a long time fan that day.

Back to topic. WITCHES MARK new record, kicks ass!

We can start another thread on wackos whose music we still listen to but ignore them when they talk. Mine being Dave Mustaine, but again, different thread please.
