I am not great at introductions but enjoy community.
I started the group Arms Like Trees and it’s just me and the bassist. We are a band heavily influenced by: Blink 182, Kaddisfly, Wolves At The Gate, Phinehas, War of Ages. Wage War, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie, Coheed & Cambria, Plini, and the occasional R&B thing.
I am a self taught musician (took two lessons to learn bar chords and basic flamenco), was project manager, chef, and contributing artist for Christian hip hop artist Dillon Chase on his Drifting album, and am learning how to better record, mix, and master music.
the songs we have released should show a progression of learning. in order are:
More Than, Trust Is Used (punk rock meets post hardcore/hip hop bridge), All Is Not Lost (Look To Christ For Hope)
I’m here to learn how to finish our album well and learn how to do better quality songs.
this place has helped guys like The Omega Experiment and Plini so I figure this is the place to be for independent artists who can’t afford to hire people.
