Hi there!
Im just saying hello - Im a 30yr old brit who loves Anthrax (has ALL the studio albums, most of the early stuff on vinyll too). I've been reading this board for ages, but only just felt compelled to write in...
Love Joey AND John era Anthrax. If I might be so bold, people are getting all bent out of shape with members of the band over what may or may not have been said in the press. Personally, I'm really glad that Joey is back, but yes, I will also miss John. I hope that the two of them could work together, as I'm sure their voices would compliment each other well (I loved the Ball of Confusion cover track for that very reason!). I will miss Rob a lot, but then I grew up with the Among version of 'Thrax.
Why don't people just chill out a bit and wait and see what happens ? Sometimes I think the net causes more problems for bands than it solves - in the old days you'd just have had letters, magazines and tape trading. Try not to get too bent out of shape with the cult of personality attached to musicians - even the biggest assholes can produce good music (step forward Kerry King) - and don't forget that musicans also have families, real lives and mouths to feed. They don't exist just for our amusement, and I'm sure they don't take any decisions likely. Maybe one day Anthrax will devolve their band decisions to the fans through a vote: until that time, step off, as I'm assured my trans atlantic cousins would have it.
Anyway, nice to be here!
Carcass Chris.
