Okay, some of you may have heard about the website freeipods.com, where you have

to accept one offer and then get five other to do the same thing to get an IPOD!

Now, you may think this is a scam at first, but the guys at the flyertalk forum

tried it out, and low and behold Apple confirmed it with them, and they had an

ipod shipped to them.

Now, when you sign up it asks you to do a survery with Ads and such, just say no

to each. It then says that you have to sign up for one of the six available

offers, DO NOT do any of them except for the Ancestors.com, or Stamps.com,

because things like Columbia House make you buy 4 or 5 dvds before you can

cancel. I have used Ancestors.com, and I have already canceled it and gotten my

referral credits, and will not be charged anything.

After that, you have to refer 5 people to complete the process, then Apple gets

an order for you to get a mini I-pod, or a new 20gb ipod.

Just Click on this link:
http://www.freeipods.com/default.aspx?referer=6906910
and you're on your way to getting a free ipod.

All it takes is filling out 2 forms, and then cancelling one of them over the

phone. Very easy.

If nothing else, it's worth a try.

Ipods suck anyways.

I bought one and returned it the next week.

Iriver is the shit.

oh yeah- Do you think we all have one brain cell that you open a thread like this here?
(ok some us have 2, but not one cell!)

I think they are badass, but you may have the final laugh. My iPod cannot hold a charge anymore, after about a year of usage. So basically I'm fucked, or I can pay about $150 and have my battery replaced. One thing that also sucks is that my computers hard-drive is toast, and I am now forced to load up 5 gigs of CDs into another computer. It.takes.for.ever.

Exactly.
I thought Ipods rule as well, thats why I went and bought one.
it was so bad, couldnt handle anything, the battery would run out after an hour, and then the ipod would lose it's entire memory, also, if you turn it off: it won't remember the last place you were on.
(When you have million mp3s on it- that's a problem)

Iriver is da shiznit.

Eh, mines acted fine the whole time, its just so not worth it. Today I will proceed with the re-music-ifying my computer.

i'm sorry. couldn't quite read that.
