Iron Maiden- 3/14/08 in NJ

I'll be there too. No plans for before, but I'll be there early. Where are other people going to be?

I will be there with my best friend. I got him a ticket for his March 18 birthday. No big plans before hand just going out for some sushi in Millburn and heading to the show which will be incredible.

Well guys, I won't be there tomorrow night, but I just witnessed Maiden's show in Puerto Rico... You're in for a great time. Enjoy the show. Up the Irons!

I'll be there with 4 friends. Driving down from Connecticut and can't wait for the show tonight! I'll be wearing my Progpower VIII shirt.

Damn I was all excited thinking it was only going to be Maiden playing tonight. Is she definitely opening?
It's listed on her myspace page. She's the direct support band. Steve's son George and his band are the opener I believe. They are influeced by KILLSWITCH ENGAGE it says on their myspace page. They are called BURN IN REASON. I read about this months ago that this was happening. Both of them are with IM for the entire first leg of the tour.

WOW, Burn in Reason is absolutely horrible. Lauren Harrison wasn't bad (not my thing though) but his son's band is really painful to listen to. Looks like I'll be showing up around 9:30 tonight.

Show was awesome! Just got home a little while ago. Probably one of the best Maiden shows I've seen. They played a real good selection of their early catalog. We got there kinda late during the opening act so I didn't really see too many people, but we had a lot of fun!

Here's the set list ... you've been warned ...

1. Aces High
2. 2 Minutes to Midnight
3. Revelations
4. The Trooper
5. Wasted Years
6. Number of the Beast
7. Can I Play With Madness?
8. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (aka. what not to do when a bird shits on you)
9. Powerslave
10. Heaven Can Wait
11. Run to the Hills
12. Fear of the Dark
13. Iron Maiden
14. Moonchild
15. Clairvoyant
16. Hallowed Be Thy Name

GREAT show! It took me back 20 years (which I guess is the idea). Maiden has lately played the 3,000 seat stadium in my area. Last night, they sold out 20,000+ seats. The place wa packed. They had an amazing stage set - lights, pyro, props, costumes, and Eddie of course. The band sounded great, and Dickinson (as I've said before) must have traded his long hair for a drink from the fountain of youth. Just a flat out fun show.

I ran into Zod (& his lovely wife), the other Dark One, Ambr, and other PPers. I also learned that I couldn't complain about my 1 hr 40 min drive from Philly since people showed up from Florida and Minnesota!

All in all, a great show. I plan to catch it again when they swing back to Philly (well, South Jersey, but same thing).
