That's all well and good but, if that's the European version being sold, then none of us here in the States are going to get it because most, if not all, of Europe is using PAL system televisions where the US is using NTSC.

Doesn't matter. If the DVD is set up for PAL, we need a special converter to get it to play on NTSC. Otherwise the picture doesn't show up properly since the refresh rate is different.

There are certain machines that will play PAL discs and do the conversion to NTSC on the fly. Go to eBay and do a search for "Sampo DVD." Check any listing that says "multizone," "region free," or "multi standard." There are other manufacturers too, but lets say that I have a friend of a friend who knows someone that says the Sampo's work just dandy. How else are you supposed to watch Peter Jackson's Brain Dead (aka Dead Alive) when it's only available on a Region 2 PAL disc from Spain???
