Addendum: perhaps I feel this way because I have to deal with it all the time. Even at the Predators games, the anthems are sung by country stars (although the past two seasons, the opening themes have been Deep Purple and AiC songs, respectively)

I fucking hate the being a redneck is cool or trendy or what the fuck ever now. Larry the cable guy/blue-collar comedy dumbass'/ modern country are perpetuating this awful redneck trend and it makes me want to die.
