Jeff Buckley is dead and i care in that i wish very badly he could have made more great music. He drowned....some say it was suicide some say accident, he was drunk. I think it was an accident because he was in the middle of recording his new album and his band were in a plane on the way to meet him in Memphis when it happened. But who knows

hmn i just find the 'stay with me under these waves tonight be free for once in your life...tonight' - when he drowned under the waves, and 'from the coral graves they rise up when darkness falls' - hes sort of in a coral grave. anyway lets not go further into the lyrics, to tell you the truth i dont really expect him to come back or anything and yeah i think hes dead, its just wierd thats all.

you know what, its the same with me, i said to someone my favourite lyric would probably be the ''stay with me under these waves...'' one, and he said yeah its wierd because hes under the waves isnt he. and then i thought oh shit, just like you so that might add to the wierdness.

Not to mention the title of Nightmares By The Sea...actually I've never heard the original, but I love Katatonia's version...
yeah its pretty much the same, except Jeff has this monotone sort of voice, which i think adds to the feel of it. anyway theres 2 versions on the album, katatonia cover the one on the 2nd cd, im pretty sure. having said that both Buckley versions are simillar too so. you should download it or something. the only thing i prefer is that in katatonia's version theres more emphasis on my fav lyrics, in Jeffs he just moves on like its just another line. oh well.
