is it possible to make more than 32 busses in pro tools?

noob(ish) question i guess, but i'd like to know.
I know it's possible to make "new paths" on the I/O setup, but it doest do me much good if there are only 32 busses.
i do a ton of bussing in PT, and i'm about to run out of busses to work with on this session


is it a software limitation or is it possible to get more than 32? this is Pro tools LE 7.4 btw

where do you find the specs for bus numbers? I see the track counts listed, but not the maximum number of busses?

If you have a 002 or 003 you can run TRS cables from output to input and get a few more buses that way.

I've never come close to using all 32 buses personally.

You can also put some of the tracks in Reaper through Rewire, get unlimited tracks and buses with up to 16 stereo returns to PT.


The Complete Production Toolkit (LE only) gets you more buses and a bunch of other shit but it's hella expensive
