Is Lamb of God...Pantera wannabes?

What do you think? I just listened to some of their songs, including Redneck and afterwards, I found myself compelled in remembering Pantera songs in my head while listening to these guys.

Am I imagining things or what? Discuss.

There's a difference, they both have unique sounds. Sure, LoG has Pantera influence but their guitar sound is different.

They sound pretty similar, but so do a lot of other bands in this vein, i.e. A Perfect Murder, who basically worships Pantera. And has written about 1 original riff.

They are both considered "Groove Metal" and both have an amazing amount of Southern Pride. Lamb of God is the modern day version of Pantera really.

Yeah Terry Glaze. Sorry I thought your post just mentioned Pantera's first two albums being them. I think hes good for Vulgar aswell. Drops off after that.

Lamb Of God sound a lot like Pantera. It's a good known fact and there's nothing actually to discuss about it.
