when i first listened to Lamb of God I didn't hear a similarity in the music and I still don't. However, I do feel that Lamb of God is the Pantera of modern metal.

thats lame. A lot of people have influences from pantera, the good thing would be if they had their own sound and didnt try to copycat the masters of metal (generally speaking)

I've only heard a few Pantera songs and all of them I heard many months ago. From what I could remember though Pantera sounded far from Lamb Of God.
