is there a metal chat channel on irc?

im looking to join in some metal chat rooms.

can anyone recommend a good room to chat in. one that always has people in it and is fun and interestnig would be perfect!

There is an ultimate metal channel on irc.forestnet.org at #ultimatemetal...I have only been there once or twice, and there weren't too many people around. You might also try #seismic on that same network from time to time, as they sometimes have metal shows...mainly Jim's show. Good luck, and maybe someone else will have other suggestions.
