if so recommend me one. i am looking for a cheap in-ear solution for playing live. we want to be able to do our own monitor mix in stereo for 4-5 musicians.
we got a behringer x2442 at the moment (or whatever it´s called) but routing gets a bit complicated if we have to do 5 different monitor mixes.
stereo sends are a must because it sounds much cooler. basically all the mixer has to have is 5 stereo aux sends-no eq section and stuff. just 19" and 5 stereo aux sends. is there something out there or do we have to build one?

EDIT: something like this: http://www.thomann.de/de/crest_audio_x_20rm.htm?sid=58b8e7857128af086d8ffeb416a9ce4e but in cheap.

I know there is, because I was looking for the same thing about two years ago. I want to say that Mackie made something that was just for monitor mixes, now discontinued.
The mackie onyx mixers are rackmountable and have pre-fader firewire out so you can track live - i believe they have a model with 6 auxes.

you have to be careful because not all auxes are prefader, but i know on the mackies you can just jump some points on the mixer to make them prefader - i've done this on one of their old 32 channel mixers before. they even have instructions in the manuals.

Doesn't exist. If you want a good and cheap mixer, you want two mixers...

Sorry to hi jack you a little, but im also looking for something for an ears rack. I just wanna take the mic signal from both guitars, di bass and, di kick trigger, di samples, snare mic and vocal mic and run them all to a mixer that can then be put through to the drop box on stage, and also has 5 aux sends. If there was eq on the sends would be even better. If price is no obstacle, what would some of you guys recommend?
