Is there any chance to get a job in the us/canada?

Well, if you know english and have some sort of speciality, I'm assuming you can get the same job options as us american pigs.
If you don't know english, you'll be fucked.
If you're multilingual you can get in a good position with specialty companies that need people that are fluent in both languages (or more) that you know (translations, sales, etc.).
It really depends on skills/training etc.

Yes, I agree with most of this. If you can speak several languages you can do well. If you have a speciality you will do well.
The one thing you have to watch for is that sometimes a degree from another country is useless here.

Haha, there was this Mexican I worked with at one point who was a doctor in Mexico before they jumped the border. With the 7.50/hr the company was paying, he apparently made more in a day here than in a week there.

That's vice versa as well...many American degrees are useless here, depending on your field of study.
It just depends on what you wanna do. If you have a degree in a scientific field from Europe or even parts of eastern Europe, you shouldn't have a problem in the states. As for scientific work in Europe, MIT or Ivy League is the way to get a good job at any research facility here.
I worked as a quality assurance engineer, uhm. 8 years before... it was my last "normal" job. (at uproar.com it was an american company)
since that I'm working as a photographer (concert photography is the hobby part of it), and a journalist (not in the rock business). But I don't think that anybody wants a woman who writes very well in Hungarian and makes mistakes in English
DDI'm thinking about it about one and a half year, I don't see any chance to have a good life in my country.

Although I feel living in Europe is better than living in the states, in my experience, working in the states is much better than working in Italy. I know we're talking about two different things, but the US is much, much more organized and there are many opportunities to earn a decent wage in the US, even with the economy as it is. With good qualifications, the US is probably the best place in the world to work, imho. Good luck!

Faffy: you'll need to get an employer that will "sponsor" you and give you a work visa.
I would recommend finding hungarian companies or even at the embassy and try your luck there. You never know; sometimes they are actually looking for people: and if you tell them you are already planning to move: a lot of times it saves the company time and money to 'bring' a person in. Start with your own "people" because most likey they will hire you, as a Hungarian over other who are not.
You absolutely must find a work visa. (or someone you can marry haha!)
As far as English: I disagree with everything above: you will not have to be 100% perfect in English. As long as you can get by, and write good emails/ papers at work and converse intelligently: you'll be fine.
Some mistakes here and there are not a problem....

Yeah, I wasn't saying know English 100%... not even the natives do. Just enough to communicate effectively.
