Is this mix too muffled?

I posted this in another thread about guitars before I had it mixed and someone commented that it sounded really muffled.

Well I've put some time into mixing it finally and was wondering if this still sounded muffled?

Any other comments are welcome, too, of course.

no, i don't think it's muffled, but I also don't think experimenting with just a tad more high-end sparkle would hurt

Overall the mix is great,

But the guitars sound wierd like they have stereo width enhancers, out of phase, over eq?

Maybe it's just too much mp3 aliasing i dunno. The guitars sound cool when long chords are smashed out and feedback, it just the palm mutes mainly sound like a bag of chips...

Well damn. I have a waves stereo enhancer on the guitars. Haha. I also have a short delay on them (waves supertap) so I wonder if either of those is doing that...

Hmmm, dosen't seem to really...

What other effects do you have on your guitars?

Reminds me of the sound that is made when you put too much multiband stereo delay/width in izotope ozone.

I've got a c4 on each of the tracks with the Andy setting. And then I have the guitar bus sending to the Waves stereo delay.

Seems alright... Supertap shouldn't cause a problem unless you had 'spring reverb' preset or something creating a wierd chorus, but i don't think its that... I'm beat.

I think the mix sounds great! Everythings very clear sounding, but I would maybe put a little reverb on the track. It sounds a little dry to me

it's just the guitars that have a very dark sound...could ad some high's if that's what you want
they sound like Mithras guitars, but much cleaner & clearer

listen to a Mithras song, those are a real mess
your mix sounds just fine if you ask me
