I know some of you dont like this style of music and I know some of you also arent into this style of production, but lemme know what you think of it for what it is!

i think the vocals are a tad loud, and i think there is way to much gain on the bass and maybe even the guitars too. The kick could be a little more present. Other than that this is a pretty good mix IMO

I think the vocals are too loud and the guitars are slightly too quiet. Good tone though. I'm pretty sure the snare will sound right level-wise when you bring up the guitars (and maybe kick? not sure about that, but you could always try it out). Sounds like a healthy amount of reverb on that, definitely a cool sound. I'm a really big fan of that kick sample, where'd you get it? Cool track overall, what band is this?

i wonder who the "some people" is referring to. Hah.
If you're going for "that" sound then I'd say you could do with a bit more of a palpable midrange on the guitars, more cream, more goddamn butter.

thanks for all the advice guys! I have taken them all into consideration

just updated the mix (although I think it might be clipping, my ears are shot and I cant really tell because of it)

we are going for a vocal driving CD, so Im trying to mix them a tad louder than normal. (they did die down a bit after i turned guitars up, I dont wanna over do it)

as for the guitars I am pretty sure the gain is around 40-45% anything less makes the dissonant chords sound too weak. and the bass has very very little gain on it (I think you are talking about the chugging part in the begining? if so thats a 3rd guitar and bass together, maybe thats why you think its overgained?)

I could barely hear the 808
good! :P

Awesome mix man, your stuff is the shit :D
and thank you!

yep guitars could be louder!
Anyway I like this stuff better than the crapcore that people like over here! so I think that's some cool music!
turned them up, any better?

The band is Demolisher :) this CD will be in stores late this year through a pretty big label so thats why I want to get all the advice I can for this mix/master so I can push it to its potential

as for the drums they are,

Kick - SSD Kick 10 + JS Black & Gold Kick
Snare - SSD Snare 11 + SSD Snare 22 + JS Black & Gold Snare
Toms - SSD Nevermore Toms + JS Black & Gold Toms
OverHeads - JS Black & Gold Cymbals

and tons of processing all over everything.

(oh and no verb on the kick :P)

no one in particular, just alot people on this forum arent into this type of music.
and are the guitars a bit better? added some lower mids

Where is the bass??
dunno man? sounds fine on my end and I referenced it in a car system that I am familiar with and the bass is very dominant.

Sounds good dude. Love the snare. Not overly psyched on the kick sound and I think the vocals could
do with a touch of saturation. Nice mix!

Yeah I was thinking it probably was them, I didn't know you were already this far along with it though. It's not bad at all. I'm just into the kick sound because mine always comes out really clicky even though it sounds good alone. I guess it works alright for my stuff, but I'd rather have something like this, where it's got enough presence to cut through the mix (at least when you bring it up a dB or two), but not so much that it's ridiculous.
