I've read other forums that accuse Maiden of being cheesy. I don't know, my take is that a little cheese from Maiden is okay, and more entertaining if you don't take it too seriously. Since I'm trading my $$$ for a little entertainment, if they try something and it turns out cheesy... so what, at least they tried. *shrugs*

I read a recent interview with Bruce where he said that all the descriptions... Spinal Tap-esque (I consider that a compliment... I LOVE SPINAL TAP...), overly melodramatic, and even cheesy... were valid, and he didn't care, since he and the boys are having fun...
I heard that we'll get to see Bruce do a dance before or after Dance of Death, complete with twirls... and there'll be dead bodies on barbed wire during Paschendale (Bruce will come out dressed as a British soldier)...
