Listening to Spine of God for the first time, this shit is pretty good. Real trippy, Wyndorf doesn't seem as concerning about yelling about boobs and drugs as much back then (EDIT: just noticed the first song is called Pill Shovel, haha). Good stuff.

I've only heard two songs or so but have actually considered getting myself some more, I think the singer's voice is really cool as well as that "deserty" vibe they've got. And besides, how can one dislike a band that makes vidoes such as theirs

I've grown to love this band, especially their earlier stuff. I'm not to crazy about God Says No or Monolithic Baby (though I haven't given either a fair amount of listens), but damn if Spine of God, Powertrip, and especially Dopes to Infinity don't rock my socks.

Monster Magnet embodies the spirit of sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. They play crank the amps, get fucked up, and find some pussy stoner/desert rock, and are like one of those "momma always warned me about these guys" types of band, lots of fun.

I think Power Trip is my favorite, but I've only heard Spine of God, Dopes to Infinity, and Power Trip, all of which are great. It's hard to deny (harhar) the awesome power of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, but I think the title-track of Power Trip is my favorite song, or maybe Space Lord.

I don't know what thread it was in where I claimed Dopes To Infinity was by far the best MM album, but, fuck, it's just too close to call anymore*. All the albums are just so superb. Yes, I have even come around to claiming that Monolithic Baby! is a (somewhat) great disc!

*but I usually go back to saying this by the time Negasonic Teenage Warhead starts up
