It's a fucking war. You can't just tiptoe around everywhere and play nice when you have enemies who don't give a fuck, and will take advantage of your good will in order to kill you. If you think accidental killing of civilians automatically makes soldiers bad people, your idea of war is fundamentally flawed.

Just don't interpret those cases to mean that no soldier gives a fuck when he kills innocents. It's a pretty tough decision to make a lot of the time.
