Sheeeaaat, that Imindain band kicks ass. Love that production and sound, absolute killer.

Passage was quite enjoyable too. Have not checked out the others yet.

Ne Obliviscaris were discussed briefly in the Latest Purchases thread. My comments below.

Listened to each song twice. Tapestry I'd give a 9/10 , serenity meets calamity to bring a grim Aussie out of his somnolent state of kvlthood and awaken him with bold strokes of a bow that hits the strings with the eloquence of a violin dancing on a bed of moss.

As for the other two tracks, easy listening pop metal that tries much too hard to capture the listener's attention. "Forget" is downright ghastly. There's a reason why this track was placed 2nd in a 3 song demo, it's not strong enough to set the tone of an album, nor is it qualified to close one out. Hell, it doesn't belong period. Expect them to tour with I.C.E sometime next fall.

Black Betty - Pretty Good, Ken should be splunking all over this.

Nae'Balls :kickass:

Matriden - Somebody take that drummer's sticks away. And people were giving Oakhelm grief?!?! That first track sounds like a poor man's Bloodbath, the only difference being, Bloodbath kick ass. This shit makes my balls ascend as if I just went for a dip in lake Minnetonka. Apparently this band is Nordic themed? YOU'RE FROM FUCKING MONTANA!!!

Warchetype - Dooooooom! :kickass:

Will listen to the other submissions later.

pop metal? Did you mean the prolonged intro that lasts around 6 minutes, or the awesome jazzy upfront bass work we hear so many bands institute. Or the little part starting around 9:37 that opeth wish they wrote. :Smug: :loco: Tone shmone

This is apparently a band of some guy that I've seen at Rutgers before.

"Semper Tyrannis blends the raw brutuality of bands like Suffocation, heavy melodicism of early At the Gates, and the epic scope and use of acoustic guitars of bands like Opeth and Agalloch. They seek to create crushing true melodic death metal, avoiding "Gothenburg" (Gaythenburg) aesthetic qualities as much as possible, instead opting for narrative song structures and classically inspired melodies, with a variety of lyrical topics ranging from personal loss, death, and perils of organized religion."
