Haha, don't get me wrong... I listen to a lot of non-metal stuff too, especially at work, I was just giving him a hard time for choosing THAT screenshot in an "ultimatemetal" forum.

iTunes is sluggish and utterly gay on PC, but on Mac it absolutely rules. I tried to use it in my PC days, but quickly went back to Winamp.

If I just use it purely for listening to music and nothing else, is it still worth updating? I've got 9.2.1.5

Yeah itunes sucks on my wife's windows machine. Love it on ma mac though.

It's a little snappier, and graphics are a bit different. That's about it.

I hate itunes on PC... and what's with like 8 processes running constantly in the background even without it opened? It almost looks like apple installs spyware or some shit... I used to use winamp but found Songbird which has matured quite a lot since the last time I tried it

Ok, first serious bug. When I insert an audio CD (any audio CD), iTunes starts reading it, flashes back and forth my library and the CD for a while, then stops, loses the CD and the CD drive is grayed out in Finder. I can't play the CD or rip it to iTunes. Anyone else experienced this? I have to eject the disc manually from the keyboard, and the Audio CD won't disappear from finder :/

EDIT: It seems there are several reports of the exact same bug on iTunes 10.

DO NOT UPGRADE TO ITUNES 10 YET IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO YOUR CD'S!

Thankfully, I have my cd library currently ripped on my iTunes.

What a stupid mistake though. Maybe this was overlooked because they think everyone these days buys their music from iTunes

Yeah, I can't seriously believe Apple let out a music player software that can't play actual albums. There's a temporary fix to turn off the automatic album information downloading, but yeah, then I have to type in the album and song information by hand.
