Uh... What happened to the import options under the advanced tab?
Fucking fuck if they killed that....
I had my fucking 160g music drive all tagged up and shit with iTunes, so I backed up all the library files when i reinstalled windows. setup my profile exactly the same, same username and drive paths. itunes couldn't find my fucking music and rebuilt over my library file and shit. HAET ITUNEZ.
I repaired file permissions last saturday. OS X has a weird idea of repairing shit. I mean, if I have to repair a car, I rarely set it on fire. The bastard wiped my hard drive and fucked up my memory stick beyond repair.
Oh well, that's what you get for installing OS X on a PC laptop. Jobs got his revenge.
sounds like being iTunes n00bs combined with using windows is just a sucky thing, eh?
i've used iTunes for years now, and manage a 130GB library with it... over 2500 full length albums... i run disk permissions every day, just for shiggles and to keep things running smooth... and i have never experienced anything like what you have. yeah... you can't blame the product for the consequences of your misuse or lack of understanding how it works or failures of your operating system and/or hardware.
it is the best media managment software i've ever used. learn it... learn the key commands, learn the sorting options, learn the view options... once you do, you'll like it... no, love it. especially if you have a library of any size at all.

The man is clearly insane.![]()
add 3 pc's to that.... killer dude. care to elaborate?
It moved, it's under "Import Settings" on the General tab of the Preferences. I hate the fact that you still can't order (not buy but sort them) your albums by band, and then by year and not by album's first letter...Uh... What happened to the import options under the advanced tab?

That would surprise me. I haven't upgraded yet. Anyone have more info on this?

when you have the top browser frame open, how do you get rid of the Genre Column (so its just Artist and Albums)...I was able to do it easily in the last version of iTunes, but I can't figure it out in this one (I'm using a mac)
