Jamiroquai

I'm not really a fan of that ultra-slick style of Acid Jazz like Jamiroquai or The Brand New Heavies.

I've seen The James Taylor Quartet several times over the years, though. They went a bit "polished" in the mid 90's but now they're back playing the familiar garage style. You chould check out James Taylor's band from the 80's called The Prisoners. Not really Acid Jazz, but it's great Hammond driven rock/pop and they should have been huge.

Other than that, I'd recommend all 4 of the original Acid Jazz compilations. Courdroy were a decent band too.

I would have mentioned "Virtual Insanity" had I not seen it just now in an earlier post. Oh wait, I am mentioning it. Anyway, I used to(still probably would if I had heard it in the last several months) really like the song and especially the video.

Really cool stuff...not a bad sound at all. I'll have to check out some of the links here later.

I found this very odd that Jamiroquai was mentioned here although I am very happy to see it.

WOOOOOOO

i'm soooo excited that it's NOT unusual to like jazz and metal... teehee... my jazz friends give me a hard time for liking metal and vice versa...

anyhoo, next to In Flames and Opeth, Jamiroquai is my favourite! :)
