I have a PODxt live that i use for jamming with at home along to cds etc..

At the moment i am just using headphones and its sounds pretty cool. Problem is 1) no-one else can hear me 2) My ears are usually ringing afterwards :loco:

So i want to get something to help me jam at home with the POD instead of headphones.

I have tried using and old Marshall vs102r combo but it sounds crap.
I tried using computer speakers - sounds crap.

I think my options are
1) Active Monitors like Behringer Truths
2) Keyboard amp
3) ????

Which is the best way of doing this ? I dont want to spend a fortune because its only for home jamming but i want something that sounds good. It HAS to sound real good.

Thanks

all sorts of options, really.

an atomic amp (http://www.atomicamps.com/products.html), a crate power block and speaker cab, any combo amp with a halfway decent speaker (either going through the front or into the effects loop to bypass the amp's preamp section), maybe a relatively cheap power amp (like a single rack space valvestate or carvin or behringer) and speaker cab. Tube amp may sound better, but may not be necessary.

I'd stay away from non-guitar speakers myself, but you could get away with a nice, small single 10 or 12-inch speaker cab, depending on how much volume yer going for.
