That wasn't the point at all in my post. I brought up the fact that NOLA had the highest murder rate in the US and the third highest in the world to basically shut everyone up, because I THOUGHT they were having some contest.

Everyone seemed to be making fun of John due to his exaggeration of "the hood", but they were doing it by saying, "Come here if you wanna see a bad hood, blah blah blah" and it just went on and on and on. They all seemed to be bragging about it. I mentioned the thing about N.O. and that we are neither proud of it nor would we want to go back there, and that it isn't a source of pride to have the worst ghetto in the country.

That's when Eric said they weren't serious and were just egging him on, to which I replied, "Ah! Carry on then!", and then it was over. Now for some reason it has been brought back up again and distorted by some who can't click on a link and read, as per usual.
