Mostly shred, maybe one or two tracks with a guest singer.
i hope not, nothing ruins an awesome instrumental album faster than some dumb singing!

edit: unless its WD, and only on the first track, thus making the rest of the album the outro solo as if it were some kind of modern day freebird :kickass:

I somehow have the feeling that this will resemble John Petrucci's solo record (only with more reminiscence to Jeff's heroes): a mixture of fast and slower tunes but with a focus on midtempo, some heavy 7-string riffs, some very moody passages, a bit wanking here and there, some tasty melody lines in other spots... but nothing really extraordinary (not playing wise, that surely will be extraordinary - but I don't expect much experimental stuff). Aaaaand I smell keyboards.

I think it's a pretty safe bet to predict that this record will divide people.

Cool that he's going with NK - quality assured, though I thought he picked a local person to engineer/produce this (or is NK just doing the mixing?).

NEVERMORE is currently working on material for the follow-up to 2005's "This Godless Endeavor", tentatively late 2008/early 2009 via Century Media Records.

Probably already posted...
