ok, in the song Satch Boogie, at about 00:32 in the song he does this outrageously high pitched harmonic. HOW? does he raise the trem bar so that he is essentially pulling on the strings, or is it some other trick i am not familair with. please help me out on this.
 
It's a type of false harmonic called a bridge harmonic. It is created by dragging the flat part of your thumb on your picking hand across the strings while, basically, raking the pick across them. At the same time, use your fret hand on the whammy bar and push down on it, then raise it once you get the harmonic.

It sounds complex as hell and there really is no "set" technique for doing it. It's more of a "feel" thing and the more you do it, and get used to it, the easier it gets. Here's a couple of close-up vids of how to do it. Each is from a different angle:
