The new Whitesnake disc is fanfuckingtastic (except the first cut which is just mediocre). It's has their classic, retro sound complete with the bluesy riffing. Aldritch really delivers big time. Plus, not only do God's vocals sound as awesome as ever, they are even better on the ballads. You can hear just a touch of Father Time catching up with him and adding to that sexy as hell smokey rasp in his lower range.

Fave cuts: "Lay Down Your Love" (arena rock at it's best) & "Summer Rain" (beautiful ballad).

I'm not nearly old enough to fully appreciate Whitesnake's 80's material, but I think the new one is awesome. Really shattered any expectations I had for this. It rocks hard bros.

Best song is definately "All For Love"

:kickass: This is definately year-end top 10 worthy to me.

For someone who likes about half of the non-ballad songs on their self-titled 87 disc and Slip of the Tongue, is the new material worth investigating at all? I don't care for their older material.

So when are we going to see them at PP instead of Jorn?

I was just watching their London gig on HDNet and "Ain't No Love ..." was done brilliantly!

I thought it GOod To Be Bad is the band's best cd since Whitesnake (1987) and their 3rd best behind the godly S/T and Slide It In. What a GREAT Comeback. I would LOVE to see the band live again. David's voice is bad strong and he has a killer band behind him, especially with Aldritch and Beech guitars.

Whitesnake is my favorite hard rock band of all time, not to be mistaken with metal i.e. the gods of Savatage. I can't freakin' wait for the new Snake disc. I have to admit my favorite era is the complete opposite of what Glenn's is though. I love their cock rock, guitar slingin', Sykes and Vai stuff! :notworthy It doesn't get any better than that shit my friends.

Can't wait to get this album. I love all of Whitesnake whether it is their late 70's/early 80's material or their later 80's material. Lovehunter is one of my favorite albums. I saw them a few years ago and it is still one of the best concerts I have ever seen. You can not get any better than having Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach on guitars.

I highly recommend the DVD Whitesnake - Live in the Still of the Night for anyone who wants to (re)discover the band. This concert is from 2005 and Coverdale is awesome. He really has aged well, vocally, and physically. The show is a little light on songs from Slide It In, which ticks me off, but has a lot of their early classics and opens up with Deep Purple's BURN. What a rocking song to start a concert out with!

I haven't heard the new album yet, but so far it sounds right up my alley as I'm a huge fan of their early work.
