JON BON JOVI clearly!

Spawny and Spiffy are mad eejits! They have no clue really... ahh the kids of today. Where did they go wrong?

Well, seeing as very few people here would have heard Richie sing, I dont know if this is going to give an accurate representation  :)

If anyone wants to hear him, get out some kind of MP3 downloading program and get "Ballad Of Youth" and "One Light Burning" (Best. Ballad. Ever.) to see :)

Ahhh Ballad Of Youth, that's the song I've heard off Stranger In This Town. I didn't like it. And his voice on it is nothing at all special. I'd even rather listen to Jon on Destination Anywhere than Richie's voice on that song, I don't even really like Jon's voice on Destination Anywhere.

Ok I shall check it out.

But Richie could never pull off the lead vocals of Living On A Prayer's chorus could he? Oh those high parts at hte end of Runaway? Or that throaty sad sounding scream in Living In Sin?

Actually, he could do those I think, though perhaps not the screamy bit in Living In Sin, but a screamy bit doesnt make you a better singer :)
But I have heard him do Wanted Dead Or Alive, Bad Medicine and Ill Be There For You live and they all were fantastic! (Ive got them on cd, im trying to find it so I can post an MP3 somehow!)

ok peoples Richie is able to reach those high notes but not in the same way Jon does. On the Slippery tour the rest of the band needed to help out here towards the end of the tour due to the fact Jon's voice had no rest etc etc. However due to proper training etc Jon can actually sing better now.
They both have the ability to reach the high notes but in a totally different way and sound different. Dave is also not lacking in vocal talent either.
I think what needs to be realised is they both are brilliant in thier own style but Bon Jovi is Jon lead would not wrk any other way.

Tico did a good version of "Crazy" on a cd I have as well, and Dave did "Tumblin Dice" and it rocked :D

The bass player (Hugh McDonald) isnt allowed to talk. Or do interviews. Or smile. Or look at any of the band members.

Too much talent for one band, thats Bon Jovi :D

No this is not true.
He has done the odd interview. He was hired by the band as an employee not a member of the band due to the way the whole writting process etc goes.
This is why he is not in any photos etc.

I haven't heard enough of Richie's stuff to actually vote in a poll, but I'm voting for him anyway because Jon ruined "Keep The Faith" on the Crush DVD by banging that damn tambourine all through it.

Ah I wondered what the deal was with the anonymous bass player. Why don't they just have him in the band, but not have him write songs?

Can you tell us the Alec John Such story, Xena? All I really know about him was that a) he was in the band but didn't play on any of the records, b) had really bad facial hair, and c) was kicked out of the band.
