Jonas death growls

Hey ya'll I'm from the U.S. and obvioulsy never seen the boys live Anyways, I have read that Jonas supposedly lost his death growl when Brave New Murder came out and Mikael (Opeth) had to step in for the album.
But from the live stuff I've seen on videos and songs of gigs Jonas can pull the growl at least one song (pre-Discouraged Ones) per gig. So whats the deal? He doesn't have any endurance to growl anyone, is that it?
Anyways I'm just a curious Katatonic

He pretty much just damaged his throat, lost the ability to growl for a while, or something along those lines. He's all better now though

He just said in a recent interview that Daniel screams on The Ghost of the Sun because he cant' do it anymore. He growls live though. Dunno.

He probably just can't do it for more than one or two songs live because he does it wrong. It's unfortunate, really. I hope for their next album they'll put a good mixture...stuff like "Inside The City of Glass" as well as the newer sounding Katatonia (post-Brave Murder Day). I think that would be cool. I love both Katatonia sounds, so a mix would be perfect, I think!
