just got aptrigga, but....

so I decided to go along with the group and get ApTrigga.....well, i guess I seem to be having a hard time with it. Seems like it has just as hard of a time with dynamic kick triggering. The strong single hits come in, but the fast and softer doubles and triplets sometimes don't pickup, or false trigger if i set the threshold lower.

I guess I need some help tweaking it.

Can someone post a screen shot of how they got theirs setup with all the settings for kick triggering a metal band.

just reduce the hold-time...

sometimes with a bad drummer on too fast flams (like almost at the same time hit hits)just go in the wave and edit a gap between the transients.

with all the normal stuff you should be fine by just reducing the hold to something like 25ms or so

Also, about editing.....should I just put a light ratio compression to the wav before going into the aptrigga?

no, compression will reduce the transients....
you could just raise the gain before the threshold in aptrigga...
play with the smooth, it just gives you some more sonic options (you can set that to gate etc, too.)
