I'm using my Beyer Dynamics headphones to really pick up the sound, and then monitor with Lee's Tanoy's hi-fi speakers.
The guitars on the vid are straight in a 6505+ (thanks James for the lending) through the Cobra cab.
Dunno about the Dragon, there are two here but we're not allowed to use them...

do you think you could put up some samples of the kit, because i see your using ddrum triggers...

was wondering if i cud listen to a triggerd sample, (no overheads)
the over heads alone with the raw drum sounds
and the blend of them both..

i wannna see the differance it makes to the raw samples when you add the real sound from the overheads ontop.

A sample of any kind of drum through a trigger isn't going to sound good dude, triggers aren't for that purpose.

I went for Pukka in the end. They use spring water to hose the meat slurry off the animal skins which makes all the difference.

Are you still using the factor 50 sunblock to keep that lovely grey studio tan of yours nice and even?

We've almost finished recording the guitars, one more day to go, yay!!! I have to say that I'm more and more excited about this album as it's building up in front of our eyes (or should I say ears). Difficult to judge for the moment with just the drums and the guitars (the vocals and the keyboard will probably change this impression a lot) but so far I would describe this as a mixture between Meshuggah, Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, Dream Theater, Arch Enemy, Watchtower, Pain of Salvation and the usual jazzy parts and crazyness you'd expect from To-Mera. At least that the bands I've been thinking about while recording...
Will keep you updated.

@James: I would like to try the Dragon (especially the cab, since the cab from the Cobra sucks asses) but it's not ours and we're really not allowed to use them :'(
