Morningrise is the best to me, I don't care about the production it's very majestic yet heavy at the same time.

MR doesn't really sound heavy to me, IMO it's the least heavy album other than Damnation. The guitar sound just isn't crushing like the other albums, and it even sounds less harsh than Orchid.

Mikael pumped out all his best riffs and acoustics here and the harmonies are beautiful if you really take the time to listen. My only gripe would be the transitions.

I kind of have the same feeling about Ghost Reveries. Love every album but GR.. its more mall-opeth compared to their last albums. Good one nonetheless.
