Kalmah

[Burning In Hell]

I just recently got in this band Kalmah. Actually I am fairly new to their whole style of music. I really like them. What other bands are in this similar style?

Kalmah is the best of the MDM genre, ill give a few more that share similar styles.

I'd consider Whoracle old In Flames. The new and shitty In Flames started with Reroute To Remain so i'd stay away from that part of their career @BIF.

I know Whoracle is old IF. I'm just saying it's the best of the genre

Reroute to Remain isn't bad, but it's not the sound you're looking for here.

I addition to older COB and Norther u might want to check out older Imperanon, they sound exactly like older Kalmah and COB. Also check out Skyfire.

earlier COB, Wintersun, Norther are all lumped in the genre with Kalmah, but that's where comparisons end. Kalmah owns them all, although their newest album is weak (or maybe my musical tastes are just changing) and I was surprised how uninspired it seemed. But the first three albums are absolutely awesome. The Black Waltz is also really good but kind of boring in parts...
