Kamleot 9/8/11 @ Bottom Lounge

Not unless Fabio brings Rhapsody with them!!!!!

I do like Kamelot, but for some reason, I have cooled on them over time. I really loved Ghost Opera as it had a unique darkness to it which appealed a lot to me.

Unfortunately, like many bands of late, I have been turned off by all the drama. It isn't really the band's fault, as they were kind enough to give Roy ample time to make the ultimate (Though inevitable) decision to leave the band.

Rhapsody of Fiiiirrrreee!!!

I think I'm going simply out of curiosity. It's not going to be the same without Khan. I try not to let drama alter my judgement of a band. If I did, there is no way I'd be such a big WASP fan. Ha!

I'm a fence sitter on this one. It all depends, especially considering how close this is to progpower. I really am intrigued to see Fabio sing Kamelot but at the same time, there are so many good shows in the fall that this is one I probably could skip.

Yeah, I don't mean to shitstorm on what Youngblood is doing to try to keep this together.

For me though, esp for a current band, seeing them with a vocalist who did not perform on the album seems rather, meh...

I suppose I could overlook it if I were a big fanboy.

They probably should have spent this year recording a new EP with a new vocalist and then hitting the road.

I dunno, to go out with a vocalist who will never appear on a recording?

That would make more sense, but I think they're probably doing this due to all the money they lost when Roy dropped out and they cancelled all those dates. I agree going out with a singer who will never record with them is a little silly.

Yeah, and I understand if they didn't act quick, the interest in the band would fade even quicker.

A tour like this though will further divide true fans from casual fans.

Very tough when you make a decision which will impact your casual fans as that's who you REALLY need to be concerned about.
