Well I guess limiting oneself has its benefits, as there are alot of musically diverse metal bands. But still, one really should be open to other forms of music as well. I dont know how music would have developed if musicians composers etc, werent receptive to other musical styles, other innovations in thought etc. How many metal bands have used themes and ideas from classical, stoner, prog,punk, industrial, techno, etc, etc. Well I should step off the soapbox.

My system is don't knock it til you try it. There's no sense whatsoever in bashing a group you've never heard just because of your own predetermined prejudices against a certain style.

ANother band you make like NAD is The Music, sort of a watered down Janes Addiction without the talent. But they have some good songs.

Hm sounds interesting, I may try to find this band. I am a huge fan of a Scottish band called Aerogramme; I know I have mentioned them a number of times, but good shit.

It's been quiet around My Vitriol for a few years now. Only release so far was "Finelines" (2001). I hope there's more to come.

i think the guy reviewing Kasabian misses the point that it is because of the Guy Ritchie loutish brashness that makes it fun and immensely enjoyable.
