Kataxu - Roots Thunder

I recently re-discovered this release after having it for well over a year. It is indeed fucking excellent. Incredibly epic and atmospheric. Even if there is only two black metal songs on the album, I'm sure most fans of intelligent, well written BM will enjoy it to no end. Highly recommended.

I just discoverd this release. This is top quality Polish NSBM. Roots Thunder is a wonderful, underrated relase. The instrumentals are great, and even the into is good. It never gets boring. I recommend this to any fan of BM.

Fuck yes!

The split with "Thunderbolt" is even more golden.

Indeed it is a great split. Contains Thunderbolt's best as well. Do you know if their latest album, Inhuman Ritual Massmurder is worthwhile?

By the way, your avatar fucking owns! :worship:

Not sure really, the only other "Thunderbolt" I own is "Sons of the northern darkness" and that is a very good listen, available through "Resistance records".

Oh, and thanks about the avatar...

I never got into this band. I have the split with Thunderbolt, and it never really did anything for me. It sounded more like an ambient album than a Metal album from what I remember.

Hence why MP said it only has 2 BM songs. It's about the atmosphere and feeling, not that it's "more ambient than metal" that it gets the praise it does.

If you are a downloader, I'd suggest getting Kataxu's demo too...great stuff.
