Kayo Dot on 88.1 WMBR tonight

okay, i just finished listening to it (had to pause a bunch due to work stuff). neat! i want to hear the rest of the interview.

one thing i really haven't heard live yet is a "golden example" of the big wayfarer climax when toby's like "WAAAYYYYY farrerr up ONNNN thy JOURNEYYY" etc. when i saw KD do it (once) live, toby kind of swayed away from the mike for that part, and i think maybe something similar happened on this radio show (although he seemed to lean in and catch up)?

overall i thought it was really cool. i especially liked noticing stuff i didn't notice during live shows because of different emphasis--violins and greg's solos during Antique, for example, were much more to the forefront than they are when you're all meshing on stage in a club. and i appreciate how forbes seems to do different things with his horn parts each time i hear you guys.

the "dead air" between the opening notes of the Antique is a radio no-no. you ought to have filled it with drum-machine beatz or soprano-sax noodling.
In the grand tradition of radio, the DJ should have been talking obnoxiously over the first minute or so of the song anyway.
