Bleh... I used to be a devout Opeth board patron, but recently (and by recently I mean a long time) it has been pretty "fucking gay".
As for the name change, I have no real problems. It still has the same general "I don't know what that means" quality that motW did, which is fine by me. Obviously, it's all about the music in the end.

I repsect the decision of the band, and since the change in direction of the new project is apparently drastic enough to warrant label and name changes, it makes me even more intrigued to hear what the future holds for Maud...sorry, I've grown accustomed to that beautiful phrase.
