Hey there peeps...

Welcome to another edition of Keyser's Movie Beat... Those of you who have been here for a while may know me as a big Bruce Dickinson freak, AND an avid filmgoer... Due to recent changes in my work schedule and the amount of work, I haven't been able to make it to the movies as often as I'd like. But, this past weekend was a welcome change to that pace. I went to see Cronenberg's new film, and by far his best ever, A History of Violence.
Great cast:

Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, William Hurt, Maria Bello... vivid performances from all. This is a very brutal morality tale about what is in our nature. We are after all, animals burdened by reason....

off to my hole...

next week? "Good Night, and Good Luck" directed by George Clooney...
here's a lil' peak Trailer

Kung Fu Hustle was brilliant...

Team America is a great satire like only Trey Parker and Matt Stone can do. So... yeah, there was quite a bit of thoughtful-ness (not a word, methinks)... but not on that particular scene... lol

i just saw saw - that's a trippy movie, and i only peeked thru my fingers twice. the frantic quick edits reminded me of 28days. the village was cool too, beautiful film and scary too! hahha and the acting was better too.

I've heard very good things about the History Of Violence. Heard a review on NPR on my way to see Serenity (another great film).

I'll have to check it out at some point, but I've a feeling my wife won't go..sigh.

I saw both those movies and enjoyed them. I also like the fact that those movie makers took a risk by going with lesser known actors and actresses ~it's nice seeing new faces.
