Kick drum sound..

This is totally not my kind of music, but i kinda like the kicksound..

Its alot less "dryer" then i the kickdrumsounds i useally get! alot more mid thump then i useally hear..

Its probably due to mic choice, a d112 or re20 would probably get me more in these kind of kicksounds then a beta 91 or d6 i suppose..

But maybe someone can give some more insight in this?

Any clues in how to get this kind of sound?

And who mixed Seethers last album? i know randy staub did the one before this..

Ugghh, god I hate this band - I see what you mean about the kick, though it's still a tad bloated for my tastes (only a tad, though, it works pretty well for the music). And I listened to "Breakdown," btw

And Breakdown is the one.. i was revering to the first couple of songs, songs from the last album..
