NIKKI SIXX: VINCE Sounds 'Amazing' On New MÖTLEY CRÜE Demos - Sep. 9, 2004

MÖTLEY CRÜE/BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION bassist Nikki Sixx has confirmed a Las Vegas Review-Journal report that he is currently recording new material with CRÜE singer Vince Neil.

"Been doing alot of songwriting for both BRIDES and MÖTLEY," Sixx writes in a posting to the "Diary" section of CRÜE's official web site. "I'm in [Las] Vegas with Vince right now. He's singing on some demos. He sounds amazing, looks amazing as well. We're loving the new tunes and having a blast. No offical plans for these songs at this point but it all starts with the music, so time will tell."

I hate to say it but sounds like 2 has been rock stars are desperate for money and are reuniting for the umpteenth time to cash in... and probably come out with a mediocre album to use as a excuse to tour where the real money in the music business is and not really in album sales... didnt Nikki say that Brides is his new band and thats that? ... and vince hasnt looked or sounded good in a long time and i doubt he does right now... ill just stick to my old Crue albums much like i do with Metallica and remember the golden days... just my opinion on what they are doing.. if im wrong im wrong if and when there album comes out.. maybe it will turn out good though i doubt it considering the past history of them and reunions... also isnt Mick very sick lately? and Tommy committed to his shitty music? ....

Hold on there, Crue was NEVER broken up! They put the band on hold until SIXX got his record out did a tour & Vince drank...:tickled:
C'mon the Brides? Who bought their record?!:p
Hell, I got a free copy & even that wouldn't make me recommend it to anyone! The only reason I'm holding on to it is because I'm a Crue "Completist." New Tattoo was stinker, having only 3-4 decent songs on it.
I think if they get back together, like they said they would, it would be to
do a farewell tour & to that you need to get a record out. Mick is better, I think if you read the diary on their site, Nikki has posted an update or two on Mick. Tommy will be convinced to return if it is in fact, their farewell tour. I doubt Vince wil sound decent live, I mean you can suck fat from the man, but there is no quick fix to a guy's vocal chords, which weren't even that great in his prime...
I will be there if they record something new & tour, they were one of my favorite bands growing up...:p

Metallica sucks! Ooops, sorry I thought it was the traditional kick the dead horse

That is if it actually is a "farewell" tour... history has shown that bands always say farewell , farewell and then only reunite again when there other bands don't do as well and isn't a cash cow... but much like metallica , Crue hasnt had a decent album in years neither... I was thinking of getting the Brides album but you just convinced me otherwise lol ... :OMG:

I think it will be a farewell tour, if they get into the studio, then tour.
Motley Crue has a short shelf life & theirs ended back in about '92.
I have to totally agree that they haven't put out a great record in a number of years. To be honest I didn't care for the Feelgood record, but I loved & still do, the MC'94. Well, the Brides aren't doing anything new or original. It's down right, disappointing. You figure with Nikki & Tracii hyping the project like they did, it would meet the expectations. I don't know if you ever heard "58?" It was a let down like that when I heard the Brides. Not that they are even in the same genre, but they hyped the project & raised the bar so high that, when you heard it it was like ":puke: ."

The Swine record. Oh yeah, my favorite track is ":puke: Brandon."
There are 3-4 choice tracks on there. Unfortunately they chose to make a "bloated" record, 10 tracks of that type of experimental shit would have been plenty...:p

I HATE brandon hahaha that was trite but I liked it for the most part it was Weird :) and I love weird

New Tattoo isn't too bad. It has enough good songs to keep it interesting (Hell On High Heels, 1st Band On The Moon, She Needs Rock & Roll, Punched In The Teeth, Treat Me Like The Dog I Am, Fake). Hell of a lot better than Generation Swine!!!!

I like it better than self titled too, Hooligan's Holiday is the only standout for me on that album, and it's not Motley Crue. Even Sixx has said they should've released it under a different name - I agree. Not a Crue album. Not a bad album, but not my thing either. I agree its a better album than New Tattoo, but New Tattoo is more my thing and I like it better.

I liked the whole NT Album except for the songs "New Tatoo & Hollywood ending" those 2 sucked! IMO awful Ballads hahahaha I generally like all things crew anyway tho .... and the S/t is criminally underated IMO

I think 1st Band On The Moon is a rockin' song!

There's a problem with the girls here on earth
They stopped actin' dizzy wearin' mini skirts
Seems like everything wild is in distaste
Gotta get my band off in outer space!

I want a place that wants arena rock!!!!!
Along with the girl's that wanna suck my.. *Guitar slide!*
