I think this is an amazing cover actually, hilarious and awesome. I also think the solo is much better in KsE's version, no disrespect to Vivian Campbell but come on guys... far from his best on that track...

Sorry Homz, it's probably all in personal perspective, I bought "holy diver" when it came out, Vivian wrote the fucking song and it was the solo that goes with THAT song. It's like changing the third verse of stairway to heaven or something.

To me KSE's take sounds like "ok, here's where we put the wanky solo stuff to show the kids we can shred" part, instead of imparting any emotional fire or passion that adds to the original.

Just sounds weird to me, probably because I am an old jaded fucker.

I'm with EX (O.F.U....Old Fuckers United) as usual. When I first heard that cover I was waiting to hear whether they'd do the original solo (I was expecting them to twin harmonise the whole thing) but rather disappointed with the end product. Am enjoying the fact that KSE's cover is getting primetime play on MTV/VH1 over here at the moment as it's in the "Rock Chart" (whatever that is).

I like this version. At least they changed it up a bit unlike most covers. Also I think the solo is good, a few nods to the original and a great tone and still being different.

Absolutley brilliant ! I love Dio and I love KsE. This is how a cover should be done. Take it and put your own mark on it instead of trying to make an exact copy that will end up totally souless. Best metal video in years aswell. I Will see them live on the 9th of october for the second time this year, but this time with Adam back on the guitar.

No point of doing it exactly like the original, cause the original is always better.
I never been a dio fan, so I like the kse version better!
