These guys fuckin' rule, I simply can't get enough of 'em.

Hence I want them to have their own thread on this hallowed of sacred forums. :D

My vote goes to Red. Possibly as it was the first I heard, but it is simply amazing. But I could really vote for any of them truth be told. except maybe Islands. Not too keen on that one. :p

And I haven't listened to Thrak so I can't really comment on that

I'd rather Level Five, a semi-bootleg 5-song promo CD sold at their 2001 shows. It's got a great mix of new material and live stuff (though all the songs sound live. they could've been edited to make them sound that way). It also has "The ConstruKction of Light" live, which is my favorite KC song. The studio version sucks, but it's the same song, so I voted for it.

It's too bad "Starless" is their longest song. I don't like it that much.

And I'm decently sure Starless and Bible Black came out after Red.

Poseidon is an old favorite, Beat has the greatest tunes, but I have to go with Discipline as best.

"Discipline is a vehicle for joy."

Red seems to be the runaway favorite. Not that I'm complaining as it is a brilliant album. Besides its deservedly legendary bookends, Fallen Angel and Red Nightmare are comparatively unhallowed classics.

Larks would be my absolute favorite though...

Red

if anything just because Starless is the greatest song ever.

I'm excited about the new one coming out soon....

Go now and get them.
And Starless and Bible Black, and Lizard. Then get the rest. :D

Does anybody have the Great Deceiver box set? Any fan of the Lark's/Starless/Red period would do themselves a great favor by purchasing it. Check http://www.disciplineglobalmobile.com for the cheapest price.

I'd have to go with "In the Court of the Crimson King", that album completly changed the way I think about music. Everything about it is brilliant, possibly my favorite album ever. Red, Disipline and Islands are all also briliant. Most of the other ones are good too, except S&BB and WoP. Has anyone heard the new EP that "Be Happy...", saw it the other day, wasn't sure if its gonna be worth getting (thought it might be to similar to the upcoming album).

crimsonfloyd>>> that new EP is good, but I dont think its worth actually buying it. most of the tracks on there are short little things, maybe 2 or 3 real songs. the songs on there will probably end up on the new album anyway, so I think its just being used as a teaser to help with promotion of the album. And everywhere I've seen it its been $10, I dont think theres nearly enough stuff on there to justify almost full cd price.

hmm.. I don't have any, was thinking of getting some when i get some $$$

I have a couple of mp3s "21st Century Schizoid Man" and "Three Of A Perfect Pair" ( i think i got the titles right?)

Can someone give me a rundown of the band? They seem very.. diverse. Just from those two songs.
