Do you know if members of Cynic/MOTW have actually cited King Crimson as an influence?

I know that Focus sounds so much like the King Crimson record Discipline that if Masdival and friends were to deny its influence, they'd either be ignorant or lying.

Also, Sean Malone plays the Chapman stick in his band Gordian Knot, which was for the most part introduced into Rock and Metal culture by KC's Tony Levin - and he's also collaborated with KC members in that band.

As for MOTW, I'm not entirely sure, but it sounds like King Crimson to me, and with a band like King Crimson, that's not very often a coincidence.
