KISS signs with Sanctuary??

It's pretty good... but it's nowhere near as good as Paul's :)

A whole album of Ace singing can just be a little too much to take!

I haven't heard Paul's, actually. I have no intention of checking out Gene's or Peter's, but may check out Paul's one day. Still can't believe he's never released a solo album apart from that one!! Or am I forgetting one?

Gene's is very experimental. I don't like it, but Radioactive sounds awesome live with Kiss playing it. Peter's is the worst thing ever put out with the Kiss name on it.... it's just terrible!!!

Paul's sounds most like Kiss out of them all, and since Paul is the best singer and songwriter in the band it pretty much sounds like a Kiss album without the filler (the crappy Gene songs haha!). Overall it leans a little more towards the poppier sound Kiss adopted from 1979-1980, but ALOT better than either Dynasty or Unmasked. Still sounds like the classic Kiss, not a disco-rock Kiss, it's just more hook/melody based than riff based really.

Awesome album though, one of my favourite Kiss albums ever.

Uh, okay, totally confused.

BUT, A question I'd like to know, what was the lineup with GOD GAVE ROCK N ROLL TO YOU

that's their best song easily, IMO, its a true Rock n Roll epic. I think I saw the film clip once and there was no makeup.

God Gave Rock & Roll To You is off Revenge (1992) where the lineup is Paul, Gene, Bruce and Eric Singer. That song was recorded a year earlier though for the Bill & Ted soundtrack while Eric Carr was still alive (that's why he's in the video clip), however Eric Singer did play on the song coz Carr was sick with cancer at the time and Gene had already planned for him to be kicked out of the band even if he survived the cancer.

Where'd you hear that Troops? Just the sort of stunt I'd expect Gene to pull, but Eric deserved better treatment than that .

He also sang backing vocals on God Gave... (in the quiet bit after the solo), but that was his last contribution to the band. It's a crime that G & P Inc didn't let him participate more. He got quite pissed off about that towards the end, and rightly so.

For the collectors among you, the Bill & Ted soundtrack version of God Gave is a slightly different mix from the one used on Revenge. You'd need a microscope to find the differences, but they're in there all the same.

Vinnie had been claiming for years that Gene had "let Eric go" before he died but they denied it...

But then at Gene's Speaking In Tongues thing last year he said himself that he kicked Eric out before he died coz the band had to move on.

yeah, I remember first watching Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and being blown away by that song.

Really heartfelt moment

*wipes a tear*

Doesn't he say it in that video anyway? That he was dying and they let him go? The video that starts with Unholy, cannae remember the title off the top of my head.
