Has anyone purchased this yet? If so, how is it? I've thoroughly enjoyed Volume II and I'm looking forward to seeing some footage from the Revenge tour with Eric Singer on drums. I'm one of the rare Kiss fans that prefers their non-makeup era over the makeup era. (torches are lit)

There are a lot of people/musicians I respect that love Kiss. But I just can't get into them.

I have the first 2 and haven't even watched them yet. lol. III will be a blind buy for me, been a kiss fan for 30 years. And I like the Singer years too, he's a good drummer. Revenge was a killer cd.

Not yet, but if the Singer-era stuff is what was released previously as KISS KONFIDENTIAL, then I have that on VHS & it is(?)/was out on DVD too. & it is really good! Although, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't show the whole show, but cut in a bunch of old footage of songs we've all heard a billion times before!

The thing about this one that really pisses me off is that for a few years Unplugged was avaialable on DVD by ITSELF, & then the pricks discontinued it!! & now, I gotta pay $50 just to get it in a boxset?

By the time I got my 1st DVD player, it was already discontinued! :devil: & I only have the VHS of it!

But, ripping the fans off has become the standard for these guys these days! Look at their weak Las Vegas DVD! 3-4 songs?! WTF??? Not to mention the reunion 2 tape VHS set they put out: "The Second Coming". This was SUPPOSED to be one tape of all documentary & then one of a WHOLE show from the reunion tour!??? Thanx alot asswipes! I didn't need that $ anyway! BASTARDS!!! I will see if maybe they have these through NetFlix & rent & copy them! They rip their fans off, it's about time they get it right back!:Smug:

Wow, are you sure that you're a fan? :lol: The Kissalogy DVD's are only priced around $24.00 or I wouldn't be buying them. I'm not a big collector of their stuff, so each of these packages are new to me.

I need to see what is on this set before purchasing.

It contains five full concerts from what I can tell. One from the Revenge Tour and the others are from their reunion tours. There's some bonus DVD that contains a 1973 concert from the days before they hit it big.

I'm disappointed that they didn't include any live footage from the Asylum and Animalize Tours in any of these packages. :erk:

saw this on blabbermouth...

"Kissology - Vol. 3 1992-2000" has been super-expanded to four DVDs, featuring over 100 live performances, commentary from Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Bruce Kulick and Tommy Thayer as well as a 20-page full-color booklet.

Five concerts are included:

* Detroit – 1992
* Detroit – 1996
* Los Angeles – 1998
* New Jersey – 2000
* Queens, NY - 1973

One version of the release will feature a fifth bonus disc of KISS' performance at the KROQ Weenie Roast on June 15, 1996. Tracks include: "Deuce", "Love Gun", "Calling Dr. Love", "Firehouse", "Shock Me", "100,000 Years", "Detroit Rock City", "Black Diamond" and "Rock and Roll All Nite".

Of course I am...of their music! Not the greedy money-grubbing corporate MicroSoft-like Empire that Gene & Paul turned the band into though. & I didn't know it was only $24! But, I figured w/that many discs, it had to be at least $40!

It also includes the Unplugged. I saw this in the commerical for it.

Tommy Thayer?? I guess they dicked over Eric Singer too many times for him to even consider being interviewed for this!? & don't any interviews w/the Fox exist?

I agree with you here. I'm a huge fan of both Eric Carr and Eric Singer. There's bound to be interviews with Carr somewhere in their mountain of archives. :erk:

Exactly! One thing I found so ironic & also just goes to show just how greedy they are & how $$ means more to them than anything, even friends who've died. A few yeara ago they had Gene on a celebrity "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" & of course if you win, your $$ goes to a charity of your choice. & Gene chose a charity that was set up in honor of the dude who signed them because he died of I forgot what! WTF???

Now, one would think it'd have been donated to the children's cancer fund set up in Eric Carr's name as they were so broken up over it when he died!?:err: He was in their band, supposedly a brother to them! & yet the guy who signed the & made them all millionaires is more important than Eric Carr?

Yeah, like the other dude said. they'll maybe have that in Ki$$ology #42! Yes, I did that on purpose. The 's's in their name should be dollar $ign$! As that is all they care about! Even more so than their friend who was w/them for over 10 years & died of cancer! I love their music, & think that all the other former members-(except Vinnie)-are cool! I just think that Gene & Paul are absolute assholes! Esp. Gene!

& if anyone doesn't think the band rips off their fans, look at that boxset they put out! I am a fam yes, of their music, not of Gene & Paul though!

okay, to get back on topic and stop bashing people like this is Blabbermouth or something....

I bought Vol. 3 last night and i'll be watching it today while at work....So far the revenge show in Detroit is rad...:kickass:

I'll get back to you about the rest later.
