Can I ask someone to test these .nki files in kontakt player for me please ?

I want to know if they work in kontakt player and that the knobs work and that is sounds reasonable.

I am currently converting Sly's and Lasse's drum library to kontakt format and I want to know if my creations work on machines other than my own.

The nki files are a drum from Sly's drum library that he made available for free download as a demo. The drum is a TAMA star classic Bubinga.
There is one kontakt instrument for the top mic and one kontakt instrument for the bottom mic. Add both instruments to kontakt and blend the top and bottom yourself. Note that if you alter the parameters of one of the instruments, you should probably set the same values on the other instrument.

This is a link to Sly's library.

Works fine for me :)

Its actually a nice snare for blending, I'm considering getting the whole pack to use for blending with slate.

I'm pretty shit with creating nki files too, so if anybody can give me a hand that would be great! I know how to get the sample loaded up and on the right key, but im not sure how to do multi velocities stuff

I agree with your comment, Sly's snares will work great for blending with Slate but perhaps not so great on their own due to the lack of takes and layers.

Creating multi velocity .nki files in kontakt is not that hard but it is tedious and time consuming, my advice would be to read the doco and scan the net and you should find plenty of info. The real hard part is the scripting language, you will need to be a software developer and have good intuition because there is no doco and you need to use the scripting language to do anything usefull.
