Kontakt instrument with Joeys Custom Snare 1

I've been trying for about an hour to make a decent instrument out of the Joeys snare 1 i just bought and I've consulted the manual plenty of times but i my snare is sounding like shettt. I loaded the wave files from the snare 1 folder blah blah, but im thinking my velocities arent correct or something. it just sounds terrible.

Heres the snare from the Truth Custom black and Gold kit

Doesnt it just kind of sound like somethings not right?
like theres too many medium hits or something? or is it just me?

It sounds as though it's just cycling between two samples.

thats what it sounds like to me too. maybe i need to change the velocities

Reconfig the velocities in Kontakt.
I believe Joey uses 121-127 for Crack, 101-120 for Hard, 81-100 For Medium, 1-80 for soft.

P.S. I've been trying to do the same. Seth said he would make a video on it.

Those are actually the exact velocities i used for it. i just copied the velocities from the truth custom snare. any update if he's still going to do it? would help a ton

if u own joey's black and gold
just replace the original audio files of its snare slot with those of snare 1...
guess that would work
