I'm just loving it. It's my first listen and I can say just WOW!

Very raw sounding album and interesting production. What do you think about it?

Dude... your avatar... rocks.

I heard this album briefly and the production sounds like it blows donkeys, and the music didn't seem too far behind. These are just first impressions though, but my feeling is that KoRn kinda lost it after 'Issues'.

Haha thankyou emrz! I accidentally found this album in spotify and I thought it was some kind of cd containing rarities and demos. After listening for a while I heard a great groove in the songs, something lacking in their most recent albums. I really believe that this dirtyness was intended to go closer to their first productions.

not bad like, deffo got the old feels back in it, and although the production is nothing compared to thoughtless, i'm enjoying it. The last album of theirs was just awful, and the single they released a while back was a joke! but this aint too bad!

Nothing will ever destroy the first CD. So fresh so new so exciting. Everything after that just ruins Korn for me. Which is odd cause I LOVE the shit Jonathan Davis did for the Queen of the damned soundtrack, the fucker can write a good tune. They need to get Head back and kick monkey to the curb. Head & Jonathan are the musical genius in this band.

the queen of the damned soundtrack was the shit, I agree about the first cd but i can happily listen to anything up to follow the leader. And issues still gets a spin at least once a week from me.

Im prob in the minority here, but I HATE korn and have always hated them. Jonathan Davis has the most annoying "singing voice" I think ive ever heard. Its kinda funny actually. 40 years old, and still whining about the SAME shit he was whining about for 20 years. All he does is WHINE and tell people to leave him alone. I wish I could meet him one day just to say "No Jonathan Davis, you leave us alone". and the music? to me, is just as bad. horrible sounds... I cant believe they are still a band. I had to see them once in concert, and it was everything i said above times 100. I went to the show to see Rammstein.

Like I said, im prob in the minority with my opinion.

Agree with you on Davis. I've always had a 'thing' for their music though. 'Freak on a Leash' got me into heavy music, so there's nostalgia there, but I still really like many of those guitar effects and ambiances they pull out. Issues was full of that stuff, and almost sounded like doom/drone at times... or at least it would have sans the incessant whining. I'm HUGE on atmospheric music, and KoRn just seemed like they always had that potential lying underneath if they dispensed with all the trendyness and vocals. Sadly never happened.

The last album was just disgusting, even I can't listen to it and I'm a huge Korn fan!

The first album was and still is a nu-metal masterpiece, Munky just doesn't seem to be writing riffs that have that horrible sound they used to have. I think that Life Is Peachy was as good as the first album, but I still don't really get Follow The Leader much, Untouchables was the next cool Korn album but everything after that just was limp haha.

I really liked the atmosphere that the first album and Life Is Peachy had, the cool sounds they got and the riffing just got me so angry, and when it came to songs like Kill You it got my angst out :D

Haven't heard this yet but I gotta say that I love the 1st album the most, sounds so raw & groovy. Was probably the 1st metal band I got into though lolz
I like the energy jon puts into his songs, yea he sounds a lil whiny on some songs tho

I love how saying something sounds "raw" is a nice way of saying it sounds like shit.. which is what I think Korn III sounds like

Sounds just like the other crap they released the past few years. Liked the earlier stuff.
I hope Brian never joins the band again.

I enjoyed Head's solo album more than this poo poo :)

Same for me here.
The vocals are what kinda ruined Korn for me, but I always thought the general atmosphere and a lot of the guitar parts were very interesting and creative.
I always really dug the song "Helmet in The Bush".
Really weird song that always sends a chill down my spine.

Korn got me into heavy music...so to start ripping on them wouldn't be fair!
I liked everything up to Untouchables. Now had 1 listen to Korn III, and actually it isn't bad!!
Later this week I'll be out buying this album 4-sure, just to complete a collection..
